Review: Another Day by David Levithan

First, I'm disappointed in Rhiannon. Second, I need more of A. And more.

It also falls short on getting me as a reader to relate to Rhiannon. I thought, reading the first book, she would be exciting, adventurous. But the only time she ever has adventure in this book is when she's with A. Here I thought all along A was the boring one. I really believed this book would make Rhiannon even more endearing. Also, I think the book should have explained the parents issue more. I don't understand how she can be so indifferent towards them.

Anyway, the point of the books is get each of the two characters' point of view. Rhiannon did get me to like A even more, as A got me to like Rhiannon in Every Day. Just like in real life, it's the other people who see you in a better light, and make you seem more interesting than you think you are. That's what A and Rhiannon do for each other.

Needless to say, what I like most about the book is A. More A. How he seems not to care about anything outside their fondness for each other. How he doesn't see the point of complaining about his life. And also this book affirms it for me: I want A's life! You can understand how Rhiannon feels about the situations with A, though. The flow of the story just makes you want Rhiannon to fight for A more, instead of driving him away. I'm actually blaming her for A's departure.

Anyway, if you're looking for a fairy tale, don't pick up this book. That's all.
