Tennis hopeful
Do you know what my greatest fear in Tennis is? It is Nadal surpassing Federer.
I don't care if Roger Federer doesn't add another Grand Slam in his resume, so long as Nadal doesn't either.
Because if the GLOAT keeps on winning GS, Federer's 16 will be history. History. And Nadal is only 25, Federer is almost 30, so oh... That means, Fed only has few more years left before he retires and Nadal... well, he certainly looks old and his knees are a major threat to his career and I really hope they prevent him from playing still at 26! (now I'm getting mean). No buts.
Nadal now has 10, by the way. The youngest Tennis player to have as many. Let that fact be enough, please!
Now, I'm not sure who's breaking my heart the worst. Federer or Nadal. Federer who keeps on losing or Nadal who keeps on winning. Being a loyal person that I am, though, I'm not losing hope on my GOAT. But that doesn't prevent him from losing. :(
My hopes right now? Novak Djokovic's sudden consistency and dominance. It's him I'm not worried about when it comes to the number of GS won, because he only has 3 as of now, including his so-recent Wimbledon title.
Just like last night... It was oh so mighty great! oh so mighty worth it, staying up late watching the match. I really did bother to watch, i couldn't help it. It was Djokovic beating Nadal!
I so love it!!!
The Djokovic win is his first over Nadal in a Grand Slam final, with Nadal beating Djokovic in all their previous five grand slam final meetings. However, this year's finals featuring both men announced Novak Djokovic the winner.
Before last night, Roger Federer remained the only tennis player who beat Nadal in a major, major Grand Slam.
What I'm saying is that, if Federer is old enough to do that these days, Novak Djokovic can sure prevent me from heartaches...
Roger Federer my "GOAT (Greatest Of All Time)"! :)
By the way, the photos are not in ranking order :D
